There is a need of
lips pressed, pressing,
of hands seeking.

Here in my
straight back chair
hold back the firestorm
with your elegant hands
and with your lips
claim the hollow
of my throat.

Scatter my silk like
autumn leaves.
Allow me to fall
like  the ripe flesh
of sweet fruit.

  1. I just discovered your blog. What great words strung together so powerfully in such few words. I admire anyone who can leave a lasting impression with “less” rather than “more.”

Bravo to you, my dear poet. ❤

  2. Missing your poetry I today checked your blog directly, Holly. Sorry for not visiting earlier but my WordPress Reader didn’t show any of the new posts. No idea what happened as I didn’t unfollow …
Have a nice weekend and thanks for this beautiful poem above!
