Few books have immersed me as deeply as “Pantheon”, a recently published book by author Eric Syrdal. “Pantheon” is a thrilling philosophical journey exploring the depth of a metaphorical world of demons and dragons, goddesses of virtue, and a warrior poet whose journey crosses boundaries of time, space, and perception. I was enthralled by the revelations of this intuitive and sympathetic protagonist battling the dark ages of his subconscious moving forward from barbarity and trials both physical and spiritually as he transports from one state of being to another, from one point in time to another. Eric Syrdal has composed an astonishing and beautifully crafted book with the stunning ability to merge the ethereal with realism. His book is infused with breathless adventure that shakes the very heart and deftly drops one into the riveting journey of this protagonist. It is rare to find this level of intensity and realm of adventure in the lines of a book. I grew to love the characters, the metaphorical virtues come to life. I can’t say enough about the creativity of this author or how deeply I succumbed to this irresistible novel. I highly recommend this book, it will be a highly prized addition to the reader’s collection.
