In November, when I participated in the Square Exhibition, I painted a couple of cardinals sitting on a sumac branch.


This painting was at the request of my friend who wanted to offer it as a gift for her life partner.


When her sister saw the painting, she fell in love with it and also wanted one similar. I told her I don’t do copies so she told me to just make her a new painting with what I wanted to paint but including birds.

This person is very vibrant so I felt the painting also had to make a statement.


This is the result and I am quite happy with it.
