Lips wet with mist, the breeze of a kiss,
water grass sweeping through diaphanous dreams.
The strains of a sonata stream,
rivers of veins filled with bloods wildness
a song blue playing with fire.
Tongues of lovers burn with allegory
celestial walls of silence.
Hear the firewood snap and hiss
the burning heat of need.
Has her awakening come to late?

Rhyming, I like that. Thank you Mr. Cake.

I can rhyme but I often choose not to. It isn’t necessary most of the time and it often seems forced.

Your writing is sterling and captivating always. Re rhyme, it does weigh us down with it’s strict rhythms, I would rather go spiraling out of control with blank or free verse. The romantics tended to use strict meter and rhyme schemes in their poetry and that worked out well.

Very true about the romantics, though Blake was the first poet to advocate and use free verse, even though he was a master at rhyme. I suppose it is best if you can do all the tricks and then afterwards you can go disco.

I am very fond of Blake’s writing/poetry . His philosophy on life is interesting as well.

I think Blake is a genius, but that’s just me.

I agree that Blake was exceptional, a genius yes. I wonder if there was something else in play regarding his visionary approach to art and writing.
