In this dream  my arms
are the branches of trees
and you are my  nourishment.
Cut me down to a boat.
My  spine a sturdy keel,
my hair  the unfurled sails.
A lighthouse is my only lamp
for the stars are captive
in your hand.
If the sea does not capitulate,
red sails   cast into a cleft
too wide  for me to cross,
I was trying to get to you.

  1. Ahh dreams. The best part of the night is the dreams that awaken the senses. Even better are those that take us places during the day. This was a lovely poem and delightful dream full of determination to join the giver of dreams, so illusive to her need.

      1. Hi Rene! I enjoy illusive dreams, they always repeat for me. Hide and Seek in my dreamscape is an unending pastime. Ah the wolves, they have been penned up a little too long but they are soon to be released and the Canis Lupis fun shall resume.

          1. Thank you my dear friend. Your magic weaved in every poem opens portals for dreams to show us our many truths we fail to observe in our hectic lives. The ancient wise women of the Celtic clans weaved knots to set our fate and it was their intricacies that became the power of dreams or the magnificence of life well lived. You are a gifted weaver Rene.

          2. Yes indeed, wolves are fiercely loyal and Rolf thinks Dari is one of the Alpha females in his pack. Rolf will do anything to please Dari and is overjoyed when she pays attention to him. We will peek into Rolf’s role in Dari’s ritual ascension to Wolf Master. 🧛🏻‍♀️🐺

          3. I will endeavor to leave you entranced with the story in the same way you entrance me with your poetry. I do this because it is always better to share the magic. 🌹✨

    1. I do love that song, but it didn’t come to mind when putting this together, otherwise I would have noted that. I have a real thing about plagiarism of any kind, even the slightest intention. Thank you for the kind words.
