When I spread my wings
I feel the pull of freedom.
I spread them wide and trail
my shadow the way birds do.
Your hands are elegant thieves
your tongue a web of lies,
in this desperate nest of chaos
When the veil falls apart and
daylight slivers through I can see
the slant of sky where you slipped in.
Night Music

Love this, Rene.

Le sigh! Little wings. You see where my head is at.
Adore this poem. Seems no matter what or when you write, the feelings and meaning are relevant.

I was on your blog, but couldn’t comment. For some reason I can’t comment there, but I can in the Reader. Tim tipped me off on this issue.
The night music is perfect!

If it doesn’t clear up, I will contact them. So annoying. I don’t use the reader a lot. I like to actually visit blogs. So when I try to comment on some blogs, it says I am unknown, OR a deleted blog.

I think it’s you whose incredibly talented actually. You conjure words like a magician and juggle them in the air in a way that has my jaw on the ground. You never miss a word or have one too many and your imagery is exquisite. . Honestly. YOU are the kind and generous, not to mention immensely talented one.

Your poetry never fails to hit a tender spot of recognition… How you are able to weave your words that not only reveals the Freedom Shadow of birds, but the lies of tongues and Thieving Elegant hands, is beyond me…. Your Blue Bird poem speaks to all hearts who have experienced where veils fall apart and where those slivers of light peek through, to show us their is always a silver lining behind the dark clouds..
Wonderful Expression Holly… ❤
