The Sad Cafe II

You Can Tell me

Tell me how you pass the hours.
That slanted smile,
does it hide shackles of pride?
(I have mine too).
You are my obsession,
undulating sensations that
can’t be restrained.
What I know of you,
I have learned through osmosis,
the taste of ozone, like breathing air.
In worldly dreams, I am wearing leather
waiting for you in a Parisian cafe.
Is there shame in what we are compelled to do?
Tell me.

“No. There is no shame between lovers,” I tell her. Renate’s hand in mine, I examine her fingers, now wise to the world and labor, yet still elegant, perfectly manicured in a French tip. How careful she is in her attention to sensual allure…

    1. Dear Resa, you are a shining light , forever inspiring, there are no words to thank you for all that you do for those fortunate enough to know you. Thank you Dear Resa. I’m glad you like this. It’s a collab between Hyperion and myself. A resurrection of the Sad Cafe aka Cafe Rouge et Noir. My hats off to Dan, he’s a wonderful, passionate writer. You will find that is so at his blog. It’s awesome !
I would have loved to be at the Sunday night music fest … I’m sure it was amazing.

      1. Missed you there!
3.5 hour walk today! Slim pickins on street art because of Covid. Found a sweet piece, and a funny bit… maybe for ‘Oron! I’m heading over to GLAM soon. Will do 1 post, then the post for ‘Oron! 💞❤️🎼🎷🥰🎸🥂🎊

  2. Thank you a gaggle of gazillions Rene. Without your inspiring poetry and contribution, my part of the Sad Cafe would be stillborn, bereft of the words to give it life. Now, it is coming into it’s own, telling us the story of two lovers who have found what they never intended to lose, each other.

    1. It’s been a lovely pleasure joining you on this flight of fancy to the sad cafe, awakening the dormant memories of lost lovers, flickering candles lighting the shadowy passages of what burned brightly. Like all illusions soon to flicker and fade into the past once again.

          1. I sent you a link to number three. David needs to confess his piece and we’ll see it lead to number 4, which I think can find Renate and David older, wiser, and deeply in love together in good and wholesome ways. That’s the thought at the moment. 😍🥰🌷

          2. David is an avid student and Renate has an enchanting lesson plan. Ha ha ha! When David gets a promotion, if he works hard, he can afford to get a Ducati and Renate can ride in style, probably put David on the back and hit the Champs Élysées. 🛵🥰😍

  3. Beautiful Holly.. and there is no shame in LOVE my friend… None what so ever… ❤ 🙂 Have a beautiful day, and thank you again for reblogging my Harvest, and for the beautiful compliments you gave me in your comments..
Love and Hugs dear one.. ❤
