is A child that looks out
from eyes that weep diamonds
or liquid fire spills from the curve of her lip
burns trails down her cheeks
those voices inside roll in on waves
of ocean-like silence from the pit of her belly
(is that possible?)
cold clouds rain down from some god-forsaken
depth that like the tender touch of heartbreak
pleads come and rest.

Being a woman with more years behind her than ahead, I’ve felt the roar of waves gradually become to the placid sea hiding its turmoil underneath the calm. I’ve regretted the opportunities that were lost, and looked into eyes to glimpse the soul inside that feels so young. Yet few can see the beauty imprisoned there.

Yes, all is well considering we got hit with six inches of snow Sunday night and an ice storm last night. Bottled water on hand. Not good for our little doggie who isn’t a fan of cold and snow! LOL You are so sweet to send your power companies to help us with power outages. Not all of this is downed trees some of it is Texas incompetence. An example, there are 3 power grids in the U.S. – the east coast grid, the west coast grid and the TEXAS grid! Texas is ready for succession? Thanks to Florida for being so kind to Texas!
Hope you are having a great Day, My Dear!!

Thanks so much for thinking of us here!! You are so right. Many people are really suffering – governmental incompetence at the Texas state level. People have died from Carbon Monoxide poisoning trying to keep warm. Yes, the storm that hit us Sunday and Wednesday went on a rampage across the east too. Some people are saying something about “Climate Change”? ๐๐ So many are Climate deniers.
Hope you are safe and warm, My Dear! Having a good TGIF or better yet off work?
