Sisters Allison and Meeka are working on the stage for next weekend’s poetry reading…

I hope I don’t get all shy like I always do….

Rethinking Life

Everything seems to be in order.  There’s a tall microphone for Holly, Reasa and maybe Melanie, and a short one for everyone else.  Ten chicklets are set to read one or two poems each, so it should be fun.

The food is going to be wonderful and everyone at The Coop is curious about the humans.  Resa and Holly are dressing up, for the event.  The Costume Committee is very excited about that.  They have a lot of questions about sewing.

Holly (the poet) was the only human asked to read a poem. Nan is in the Poetry Room. The frame for Holly’s poem has a sticky note saying, “Holly’s poem.” The chicklets drew her picture, which on the bottom shelf of the bookcase. As soon as they get a copy of her poem they will let you know.

So, I am getting that poem together for the  Chicklets as we speak!  Also, the portrait is fantastic, I enjoyed posing for it too. I’m glad I was having a good hair day.

Thank you Chicklets. Peep.

Okay, so…I was talking to the chicklets and…

It’s Gigi with the Chicklets!

Rethinking Life

I asked them to help me show what society/culture does to people and what it’s like to be free, open, and creative.  They got to work immediately and three of the chicklets walked  into the Rubber Duck Pond to show how depressing and closed off society/culture makes everyone.  They put on shades to show how it blinds people and crushes their spirits.  Clarence demonstrated what it was like to be free and creative.  I think they did a fantastic job and I thanked them very much.  They said they hoped they got the message across and I told them that I thought they did it beautifully.
